Enjoy the Benefits of Summer Shade Trees
Summer is here, and there’s nothing better than enjoying the outdoors with a bit of natural shade. Advanced deciduous trees can offer cooling shade in summer and serve as stunning garden features.
Planting a shade tree has many benefits, from enhancing garden beauty to providing a spot for picnics, cooling your home, and even offering a habitat for birds and wildlife. Here are some of our favorite shade trees:

Found in streets, parks, and larger gardens, Pin Oaks provide magnificent orange, red, and scarlet foliage in autumn. They grow to about 20m and offer an impressive shade canopy.
Gleditsia triacanthos
Honey Locust ‘Shademaster’

Quercus robur
English Oak
Often seen in streets and parks, English Oaks create wonderful shade with a canopy that can match their height, reaching around 15-20m.
Fraxinus angustifolia raywood
Claret Ash
This shade tree does well in most soil conditions (though not wet or alkaline) and is renowned for its deep wine-colored autumn foliage. It grows to about 12m x 9m.
