When the days are getting longer, and you can feel a little warmth returning to the sun, trees around us start showing signs of life after a dormant winter. Blossoms burst open, and buds begin sprouting.
It truly is a beautiful time of the year. Gardens, streets, and parks come to life, with trees creating the pop of color we’ve all been waiting for after winter.
Here are our favorite Spring Trees:
Pyrus nivalis ‘Snow Pear’
All ornamental pears provide dense coverage of white blossoms. Our favorite is the Snow Pear, which appears early and is followed by soft, silvery-green leaves.
Malus ioensis Plena Standard ‘Crab Apple Standard’
This tree provides beautiful soft pink buds that bloom into flowers, along with a lovely, subtle scent.
Magnolia ‘denudata’ Yulan
You really can’t go past a Magnolia as a springtime winner. They are among the first to flower in August, offering large blossoms in a variety of colors.
Spring is also a great time to get out in the garden, plant new trees, and check for any pruning that may need to be done before summer.
